2013/11/14。English Version is also available down below.

4.10 somoni &

(English Version)

*For now, citizens of almost every country in the world have to apply Letter of Invitation(LOI) first to apply Uzbek visa.

*Things to prepare:

1.LOI copy.

2.Passort and copy

3.one Passport Photo

4.10 somoni & US$75

*Procedure:

1.Search on Google map for the location of Uzbek embassy in Dushanbe. It's in an alley of Rudaki Rd.,which is the only one main road in the city. You could also search Chinese embassy, the Uzbek embassy just in the southwest of it.

2.Facing the gate of Uzbek embassy, there is a photo shop on the left-hand side.(The other side is a dead end.)And next to the shop, there's a door.Go into it and open the door on the right-handed side. Here's the place for getting the application.

3.There would personnel to fill the application for you, including online and physical ones.Show your LOI copy in advance and answer the questions. The personnel knows a liitle bit English.

4.Hand in your copy of passport, passprt photo, and 10 somoni, and you will get the application.

5.Get in the embassy and hand in your application and passport.Less than 1 hour, you could get the Uzbek visa(US$75).

*Experiences sharing:

1.DO NOT believe the taxi drivers or the police officers along the streets!!They all don't really know the exact location of embassies. What I recommend is,no matter where you stay, just find Rudaki Rd. and try to head north.By taking No.1 or 3 bus(1 somoni),you could also get to the places around the embassy.

2.When you get to the alley, there are small signs on the iron fence on your right hand side. Also, you'll see people waiting outside of the embassy.

3.Although the personnel in the embassy is nice,it still could happen that they kick you out because you don't speak Russian.Try to find someone outside who might want to apply business visa, they probably understand English.

4.If you think US$75 is too much,of course you could tell the personnel that you're willing to wait.BUT,keep in mind, there's no such a thing like schedule.By experiences by the friends of mine, some of them wait for 2 weeks for visa and some of them just wait for 3 days.Saving time or money, that's your choice.

5.Basically,if you know a little bit Russian, the whole process won't be such painful. There are lots of people waiting in line and the personnel in the embassy would try to give foreigners convenience.

*Information of Uzbek embassy in Dushanbe:

1.Working hour: 9 am to 12 pm from Mon. to Fri..

2.If you'd like to wait, there's number for consulting the visa process on the wall on right hand side.
